Mildred Barry Garvin School serves approximately 350 students in grades Pre-K – 5.

Garvin students met federal Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) guidelines for the past six consecutive years in Mathematics and five of the past six years in Language Arts Literacy.

The African Advantage Mentoring Program is a volunteer group of concerned men who make weekly visits to selected fourth and fifth grade students. They include positive role models from the community who take pride in assisting our students with character development.

Alcatel-Lucent Technologies runs an annual Angel Wish Holiday Gift Giving Event that provides presents for all students in grades Pre-K - 5.
